Dr. Voss can generally accommodate back-to-back appointments so you can take care of your whole family’s dental needs with just one stop!
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends bringing your child in when their first tooth erupts, and no later than their first birthday. By bringing a child in for their preventive visits we check on their growth and development and identify issues early. We help get them used to the dental office so it’s a fun, instead of a scary place. Also, if you have dental insurance, these visits are almost always covered. For the very little ones, they can sit on Mommy or Daddy’s lap during the whole checkup. We encourage them to bring their favorite stuffed animal to get its teeth checked too.
Leave it to Dr. Voss to explain things in fun and easy to understand ways for your little ones. We use terms like “mr thirsty”, “water gun”, “sugar bugs”, “tooth counter” and “tooth tickler”.
You know cavities are caused by bacteria, but did you know that cavities can be contagious? Cavities in baby teeth can start cavities in permanent teeth. What’s more, cavities in your mouth can cause them in your kiddos! If you have a healthy mouth and help them maintain theirs early, it will help keep them protected for years to come.
